The brand "Goalong" was created by our founder, Mr. Alan Gao. He enjoys the pleasure and freedom of whiskey, but doesn't taste the Chinese flavor from it. He believes that true freedom is not only physical liberation, but also the pursuit of the mind and inner freedom. With the vision of making Chinese whiskey, he established the first distillery with limited capital. The first bottle of Goalong Single Malt Whiskey - Laboratory The 1st was created here in 2016, which opened the road of Goalong Whiskey. The founder was inspired by the melody of "Liuyang River" in his childhood, which left an indelible impression about the significance of this particular water source upon him. After a field trip to Liuyang River, Liuyang Goalong Liquor Distillery Co., Ltd (Goalong Distillery) was planned to be built next to the Liuyang River at the foot of Dawei Mountain in 2017.

Our team has been exploring how to make whiskey with the distillery's own flavor, and by improving the distillation heating method, it has become one of the few whiskey distilleries in the world to utilize thermal oil heating. We believe that this heating method plays a vital role in shaping the "burnt toast" taste of Goalong Whiskey.
